The Want or Need to do Something Useful

I was talking with someone the other day about changing their life. I tried to get them to see the big picture of how most people just follow others in life. Most people are standing in the middle of a field, but they are looking through a random piece of glass. All you have to do is remove the glass and so many other things become available to you. As I was talking with this person I noticed that there is no way you can convince someone to do anything. Rather it is the person that has to convince themselves that what you have to say really is for them. She had excuses for everything that happened any time through the day. Im sure we all did this at some point in life. Someone says hi and you automatically assume you know what they are going to say. My fault was lying. As soon as someone even thought about talking to me I already had a lie in place. What you have to do is first notice what it is when you are doing something wrong. The key to changing yourself is to understand exactly how you are. People can tell you something until they are blue in the face, but it is up to you to do the action. The next thing to do is to admit that you are wrong. Doesn't matter if you are right. Doesn't matter if you are wrong. Just for that moment that you may be arguing at your wife, or maybe someone told you to do something and they don't remember what they said maybe. Just admit that you are wrong. This is the first step to seeing your faults. The next thing you should do is later in the day, reflect on what happened and see who really was wrong in the situation. What was your wife yelling at you about? Was it because of something you did, or was there no reason at all? This helps you to determine who is right and wrong. If you clearly understand yourself by now and you know that you were right or wrong, then you have just taken a major step to changing who you are. As I wrote in one of my other blogs, commitment is key also. When you want to do a major overhaul on your life, you have to be committed to what you want to change yourself into. The time is now. Doesn't matter if you aren't going to reach your goal for ten years. Start working on it now. Do something everyday that will have you working to wards your goal. Start with the little things and build on them to eventually reach that goal that you want to reach. These are just some of the things that I had talked to this person about and as I was talking to her. I didn't see any change. Its true that you may not see any change right away, but as an entrepreneur if something needs to be changed I change it immediately. The moment that I say ok this is what I need to do, make sure its done. The longer you wait to do something the more you wont want to do it. The farther away from your goal you will actually get. Success is found within an individual. Not from who is around them or what they have been through in life. Of course these things may help to build that individual, but the individual brings about the success themselves. No one can change you but yourself.

A Positive Attitude

Let's be real. Not all people are cut out to be an entrepreneur. The things that it takes to be one can be either the same or different for everyone. However we can all agree that having a positive attitude is essential in being a successful entrepreneur. Either things don't go our way, or it takes to long to get results. Whichever way thing decide to go, we have to take light in the fact that later in the future as long as we stick with what we are doing, we will be successful. The life of an entrepreneur is surrounded by negativity. People around us may not understand why we do what we do, or they may not understand how it works, but it is up to us to show them that they can prepare for a better future just like we have. There is an expression that many people use and they say 'Keep your head up'. A little while ago, I was having some trouble in life and I tried to reiterate this statement by saying 'Keep your head up, but only if your at the top of the water'. The thing that I later came to realize is that entrepreneurs are the ones that keep kicking and keep their heads high even when things look down. We have to find any avenue of happiness possible. In building a successful anything in your life, a lot of work is involved. I for one learn this each and everyday. The thing is, if we choose to listen to the things that are around us, we will never be successful. We go to a web site and we see someone with the same add that we are about to post. Do you say 'well this must be a great web site to post at then.' and steer your ad around it; or do you say 'Well I cant post here nobody can see me because of that guy'. The attitude that we have affects everything that we do. We all have an attitude whether it be good or bad, however it is not the way we feel for the moment that matters. What matters is the over all feeling that we have everyday. When you first wake up are you happy? Something bad happens, does it just bounce off of you? Sure you may be mad for the moment. Your child may have hurt themselves or you may have had to discipline them, but at least they wont do it again. Even if they do they will know that they are doing something wrong. I for one have always had a positive attitude and I can say from years of experience there is a brighter side to everything. It is up to us to find it. Some people give up. Something bad happens and they look for a way out, then there isn't one and they fold under pressure. Sometimes things wont clear up for a while. Sometimes it will take days months or years for that better time to come. If we can see it however, it makes the now so much better and we can take pride and keep that positive attitude in everything that we do. It is up to only us to succeed.

What Is Time?

Many people in life never stop to ask themselves this question. What really is time? When asked this question my response was that time is something that shouldn't be wasted. So why do people waste it? There are many reasons and the most important of all is that people don't realize the value of time. There are two ways of looking at it. Time is something that always has been and always will be; or we only have 24 hours a day 7 days a week and about 365 days a year. That goes for everyone. We all fit into the same time frame, no matter what side of the world we are on, or which way life takes us. The way we manage our time and how we live our life is normally defined by the things immediately around us. Whether it be friends, family, a job, the community; life consist of finding out where we fit in time. If we let the things around us govern our lives, our lives then become just like a puppet on a string. For instance, I recently had a newborn and me being a father of two, I know that the best time to do things is right after I have fed and changed my little man. So If I have something important to do and he decides to scream his head off, It is then my decision if I will get him, or continue my task. We face decisions like this everyday and don't even notice it. Some people do notice and thats why i started my web page at www.apinnacleofsuccess.com. The thing is that most people make the wrong decisions and then time becomes wasted time, or rather we waste ourselves in time. Time itself can neither be managed nor wasted rather it is ourselves that use time indecisively. We blindly make a rash decision on something that all people come to realize is actually valuable. If we let the things around us in our lives mold us then we lack the ability to manage ourselves. Some of the best ways to manage time is to write things down, put it on a calendar and most important when the time or date comes, execute the task. When you write things down the important thing to do is to remember that you wrote something down. You don't need to remember what it was (this is obviously why it was written down). It is much easier to just remember that something is there. You could also put it somewhere that you would see it everyday. The calendar is a powerful thing because here you can view all of your tasks at one time on a monthly calendar. Most computers even come with them. If these two things are done when the time or date comes the task will be executed because the things will be in place to remind us of the task at hand. Time is the pilot of our world.
